FUNDRAISING
To date, the GNORCCC has raised over $1 million to help child care providers repair and rebuild Class A licensed child care centers. If you would like to help child care centers recover, please email info@rebuildchildcare.org.
APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE WITH REBUILDING
Child care providers in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, Tangipahoa, St.
Tammany, and St. Bernard parishes who were previously licensed and accepted
Child Care Assistance payments may apply for repair and rebuilding assistance.
While new centers may also apply, priority will be given to those centers
that were open before the storm. A committee will review applications for
repair and rebuilding assistance. Priority will be given to centers that:
- Are committed to providing quality child care
- Will serve a significant number of children receiving Child Care Assistance
- Will serve a significant number of infants and toddlers
- Are located in an area where the need for child care exceeds current capacity
- Have already made some progress in rebuilding
- Have a proven history of successful compliance with licensing regulations
- Have a viable business plan
If they are selected to receive GNORCCC funds, child care providers will agree to work with a specified contractor(s) and receive customized training and technical assistance from Agenda for Children and the LSU Ag Center for up to three years. Click here for more information.
